A woman poses for her portrait at the studio of A. L. Bisaillon in Marieville, Quebec, Canada. She displays a look of disinterest. Her expression looks like it belongs on a modern day drivers license, a portrait that few people put much effort into their appearance. The subject of this photograph does seem to care about jewelry, and that is reflected by the fact that she is wearing a great deal of it. She also is wearing a lace collar and black ribbon tie. No information could be uncovered concerning A. L. Bisaillon, photographer of this image.

maybe, she really had a (slight) squint? In this case, not looking directly into the camera, was best. interesting is the Bourbon lily, which holds the piece of jewellry appealing to me as a dress watch. In my imagination, this watch might habe been of meaning to her.
