This vintage photograph captures a woman driving an open car. She appears to be out on a country road. The automobile is a beauty. According to a notation on the reverse of the image, the photo was taken in 1917.

  3. I enlarged the photo 500%, and it appears that the print beneath the numbers on the license plate reads “N.Y. 1917”. The steering wheel is certainly large! And it’s on the right side of the auto–an import, or were some American autos of this era manufactured in this way? Wonderful photo.
